| Patrick grew up in the
small town of Auburn, Alabama. Many of Patrick’s songs reflect the
experiences he had growing up in a football town. Patrick sang in
the church choir, but truly got a taste for performing while playing
in a rock band in high school. His musical aspirations followed him
to the University of Southern Mississippi where he began performing
around his college town of Hattiesburg. Upon graduating from college
in 1994 with a degree in business, Patrick moved to Nashville,
Tennessee to pursue a career in country music. It was not long after
Patrick arrived in Nashville that he landed a song writing deal with
a Nashville publishing company and had his first song cut only two
months after arriving. “I thought that the music business was easy.
After all I got a song cut after only two months of being there”. It
would take six more years before he had another song cut. |
